One Year Old Baby Portraits | Oahu Hawaii
This little guy and his ‘ohana have a very sweet spot in my heart. Not only did I get the honor of taking his adorable one year old baby portraits, but I also photographed his peaceful home birth. It’s been so beautiful to watch him grow from a squishy newborn baby to a curious and adorable toddler. He arrived at the studio with his Bentley car, his adorable beanie hat and his traditional Japanese kimono outfit. Oh, will you just look at those cheeks, I mean…the cuteness factor! Happy Birthday Bentley!

Meranda and Alex Engagement | Makua Tidepools | Oahu Photographer
Meranda’s mom Shannon took me aside one afternoon and told me her daughter was getting proposed to that weekend and after “he puts a ring on it” could I take their engagement photos and of course I obliged. Meranda and Alex are the sweetest young newlywed on the planet. They didn’t have a prefenrce for the location other than they wanted the west side of Oahu so I told them to meet me at Makua Tidepools as it never disappoints with amazing sunsets and often times rainbows.
Since the photoshoot was just days after the proposal we didnt have a time for a typical consultation so when they arrived for the photoshoot we met for the first time. Normally people are a bit tense and nervous at at the beginning of a photo session and it takes awhile to warm up to the camera. Not for these two lovebirds. I barely had a chance to give them my first que and they were kissing and holding hands and basically being the most madly in love couple on earth. Made my job super duper easy. Oh, and yep, we got a rainbow.

Meeting the Hansen Ohana was such a pleasure and quite the quick encounter. I met Colter on a Friday afternoon at a networking meeting he was visiting while in Oahu for a family vacation. As fate would have it, we got to talking and between 2pm on a Friday and 6pm the following day, we had booked his session, informed his wife to start setting out wardrobe for the three girls and met at Kualoa Regional Beach Park for their session. Oh and side note, 24 hours after the session we met for their Image Reveal and ordering session…now hows that for a fast editing turn around time (this is not normal fyi LOL). The Hansen’s were starting their one year long journey of traveling the US in an RV (well, the officially started the RV thing on the mainland but Hawaii was their first destination on their epic sabbatical). After Colter took some drone footage of the beautiful Ko’olau mountains on one side and and the ocean on the other, we began the photoshoot, which to me seemed more like playtime with their three beautiful daughters more than anything. I love my job. How beautiful is this family? I mean!
